From the San Francisco Peaks area, head south on AZ-180 S. Continue on AZ-180 S for approximately 10 miles until you reach the intersection with Forest Road 171B. Turn right onto Forest Road 171B. Drive for about 2 miles, and you will see the entrance to Lava River Cave on your left. Parking is available nearby.

If you're using public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from Flagstaff to the San Francisco Peaks area. The Mountain Line Bus 10 can take you to the Snowbowl, which is close to the peaks.
