If you are in the uptown Sedona area, start at the Sedona Visitor Center located at 331 Forest Road, Sedona, AZ 86336. Head south on Forest Road for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with State Route 89A. Turn left onto State Route 89A and continue walking for about 1 mile. You will see signs for the Bear Mountain trail. Follow the signs to the trailhead, which is located at the Oski approach entrance.

From the center of Sedona, rent a bike from one of the local shops. Start biking on State Route 89A heading south. After approximately 1 mile, look for the signs directing you to the Bear Mountain trail. Follow the bike path to the Oski approach trailhead. Be cautious of traffic, especially near the intersection.

Take the Red Rock Magic Trolley from the uptown Sedona area. Board the trolley and ask the driver to drop you off at the closest stop to Bear Mountain trail, which is usually the one near the entrance to the Red Rock State Park. From there, it is about a 0.5-mile walk to the trailhead. Follow the walking path leading to the Oski approach entrance to the trail.
