    From the intersection of State Route 89A and Dry Creek Road in Sedona, head north on Dry Creek Road for 2 miles. Turn left onto Boynton Pass Road and continue for 2.4 miles. Turn left again, staying on Boynton Pass Road for another 1.3 miles to reach the Doe Mountain-Bear Mountain parking area on the left. A Red Rock Pass is required for parking, available at the vending machine for $5. Parking can be limited, especially during peak season, but roadside parking is often available.

    During certain times of the year, the Sedona Shuttle offers a free and convenient way to reach trailheads, including those near Bear Mountain. Check the Sedona Shuttle website or app for the current schedule and routes. If using the shuttle, park at one of the designated Park & Ride locations and take the shuttle to a connecting trail, such as the Boynton Canyon Trail, and then hike to the Bear Mountain Trail.
