Driving
From the junction of Routes 89A and 179 in Sedona, drive south on 179 for approximately 5.2 miles. Look for a left turn lane marked for Courthouse Vista at milepost 308.2. Turn left and carefully cross the northbound lane to reach the trailhead parking area on the east side of the road. Parking requires a Red Rock Pass, which can be purchased at a vending machine at the trailhead. Parking is limited and fills up quickly, especially during peak season. Consider arriving early or carpooling. Expect to pay $5 per day for the Red Rock Pass.
Public Transport
Take the Verde Shuttle to a stop in Sedona. From there, utilize the Sedona Connect shuttle service to get within the vicinity of the Courthouse Rock Vista. The Sedona Connect shuttle is an on-demand service that can be booked through an app. A ride on the Sedona Connect shuttle costs $2. From the shuttle stop, follow the driving directions for the final approach.
Walking
From the Sedona Visitor Center, head west on 89A (West State Route 89A) for about 0.5 miles. After passing the intersection with Coffee Pot Drive, continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Dry Creek Road (Forest Road 152). Follow Dry Creek Road for about 2.5 miles, where it will merge into Upper Red Rock Loop Road. Watch for signs indicating Courthouse Vista. The entrance to Courthouse Vista will be on your right, marked by a small parking area.
