Getting There

• Public Bus

  From downtown Sedona, walk to the nearest bus stop for the Verde Lynx public transportation system. Board the Verde Lynx Route 1 bus heading towards Cottonwood. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at 'Highway 89A & Upper Red Rock Loop Road'. This journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you disembark, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile (about 20 minutes) along Upper Red Rock Loop Road towards Slide Rock State Park. Follow the signs along the road leading to the park entrance.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Sedona. Start your ride from the bike rental location and head towards Highway 89A. Use the bike lane along the highway, which is about 7 miles to Slide Rock State Park. The ride will take approximately 40 minutes, depending on your pace. Make sure to follow all traffic rules and be cautious of vehicles. Upon arriving at the park, you can find bike racks near the entrance.

• Walking

  For the adventurous, you can start walking from the center of Sedona towards Slide Rock State Park. Begin at the intersection of Main Street and State Route 89A, heading north on 89A. It’s about a 7-mile walk, which will take roughly 2 hours. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and stay hydrated.

• Ride Share

  Use a ride-sharing app like Uber or Lyft. Open the app and set your destination as Slide Rock State Park. Your driver will pick you up from your location in Sedona and take you directly to the park. This is the most convenient option and will take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the address with your driver before you start your trip.
