The bus will make stops along Mill Ave before turning onto McDowell Rd. After approximately 25-30 minutes, get off at the stop near the intersection of McDowell Rd and Galvin Parkway. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to the Desert Botanical Garden entrance, which is located at 1201 N Galvin Pkwy. Follow the signs directing you towards the garden as you approach.

  • Light Rail and Bus

    Begin at the nearest light rail station in Tempe, which is the Tempe Transportation Center. Take the light rail heading towards the Mesa Arts Center. After 3 stops, get off at the 10th St/Washington stop. From there, transfer to Valley Metro Bus Route 61 heading east on Washington St. Ride the bus for about 15 minutes until you reach the stop near McDowell Rd and Galvin Parkway. Walk for about 5 minutes to the Desert Botanical Garden located at 1201 N Galvin Pkwy.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Tempe. Start by heading north on Mill Ave, then turn west onto Rio Salado Parkway. The entrance to the Desert Botanical Garden will be on your left at 1201 N Galvin Pkwy. The total bike ride should take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.
