Getting There

• Public Bus

  From downtown Tempe, head to the nearest bus stop. Take the Valley Metro Bus Route 62 towards 'Scottsdale Rd & Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd'. Ride until you reach the 'Scottsdale Rd & Pinnacle Peak Rd' stop. From there, transfer to Bus Route 56 towards 'Pinnacle Peak Rd & 136th St'. Once you arrive at '136th St & Pinnacle Peak Rd', walk north for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Granite Mountain Trailhead.

• Bicycle

  From downtown Tempe, rent a bike from a local bike share service. Head north on Rural Rd until you reach the intersection with McKellips Rd. Turn right on McKellips Rd and continue heading east until you reach Scottsdale Rd. Turn left onto Scottsdale Rd and continue north until you arrive at Pinnacle Peak Rd. Turn left on Pinnacle Peak Rd and bike for about 1.5 miles until you reach 136th St. Turn right on 136th St and the Granite Mountain Trailhead will be on your left.

• Walking

  If you're near the Tempe Town Lake, head north on Mill Ave until you reach the Tempe Marketplace. From there, walk west across the bridge to Scottsdale Rd. Continue walking north on Scottsdale Rd until you reach Pinnacle Peak Rd. From there, turn left onto Pinnacle Peak Rd and walk for about 1.5 miles until you reach 136th St. Turn right and walk for a short distance; the Granite Mountain Trailhead will be on your left.
