Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Tempe Town Lake area, head east on E Rio Salado Parkway. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with S Mill Avenue. Hayden Butte will be located at the corner of E Rio Salado Parkway and S Mill Avenue. You will see a small hill with a walking path leading up it.

• Public Transit (Bus)

  Find the nearest bus stop on Mill Avenue or Rio Salado Parkway. Take the Valley Metro bus routes that head towards the Tempe area, specifically routes 40 or 72. You will want to get off at the stop at E Rio Salado Parkway & S Mill Avenue. From there, walk a short distance to the corner, and you'll find Hayden Butte right at that intersection.

• Biking

  If you are biking, head towards E Rio Salado Parkway by following any bike lanes available in your vicinity. Once on E Rio Salado Parkway, continue heading east until you reach the intersection with S Mill Avenue. There is a bike rack available at the location where you can lock your bike up before exploring Hayden Butte.

  Use a rideshare app and input 'Hayden Butte, E Rio Salado Pkwy & S Mill Ave, Tempe, AZ 85281' as your destination. The driver will drop you off right at the intersection, where you can easily access Hayden Butte.
