Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from the Tempe Town Lake area, head east on Rio Salado Parkway. Look for the pedestrian path along the lake which will provide scenic views. If you are near the Tempe Beach Park, you can walk along the lakeside path which connects various areas of the lake. Continue walking towards 272 Rio Salado Parkway, which is the main address for Tempe Town Lake.

• Biking

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations around Tempe. Start at the Tempe Historic District and head south on Mill Avenue. Cross the bridge over the lake and follow the bike path along Rio Salado Parkway. This will lead you directly to Tempe Town Lake at 272 Rio Salado Parkway.

• Public Transit - Light Rail

  If you are near a light rail station, take the Valley Metro Light Rail towards the direction of the Apache Blvd/Wasson Rd. Get off at the Tempe Transportation Center station. From there, exit the station and head east on 1st Street. Turn left onto Rio Salado Parkway and walk towards 272 Rio Salado Parkway to reach Tempe Town Lake.

• Public Transit - Bus

  Check the local bus schedule for routes that stop near Tempe Town Lake. For example, you can take Bus 61 from downtown Tempe, which stops at Rio Salado Parkway. After disembarking the bus, head west along the sidewalk on Rio Salado Parkway until you reach 272 Rio Salado Parkway.
