    From the Mill Ave/Third St light rail station, walk north on Mill Avenue towards Rio Salado Parkway. Tempe Town Lake will be directly ahead. Several bus routes also stop near Tempe Town Lake, including the 30, 48, 62, and 66. A one-ride fare on Valley Metro is $2.00.

    From anywhere in downtown Tempe, Tempe Town Lake is easily accessible by foot. Head north towards Rio Salado Parkway and you'll find yourself at the lake's edge. The lake is located at 80 W. Rio Salado Parkway. Walking along the paved paths is free.

    Several parking garages and lots are available in downtown Tempe near Tempe Town Lake. The most convenient free parking lot for Tempe Beach Park visitors is at the Rio Salado Parkway, located north of the Ash Avenue Intersection. Metered street parking is also available for $1-$2 per hour, enforced Monday-Friday 8 AM to 10 PM, and Saturdays from 11 AM, with free parking on Sundays and holidays. Garage parking can range from $2-$6.
