Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Tucson Mountain Park located at 8451 W. McCain Loop, Tucson, AZ 85745. Drive east on McCain Loop until you reach the intersection with S. Kinney Road. Turn left onto S. Kinney Road and continue for about 1 mile. As you approach the intersection with W. Anklam Road, look for the signs indicating Sentinel Peak. Turn right onto W. Anklam Road and after a short distance, look for the parking area on your left. You can park here and then walk to the summit, which is approximately a 0.5-mile hike uphill.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, take Sun Tran bus Route 19 from downtown Tucson. Board the bus at any of the designated stops and ride it towards the Tucson Mountain Park area. You will need to get off at the stop closest to the intersection of S. Kinney Road and W. Anklam Road. From there, it is about a 1-mile walk to the parking area for Sentinel Peak. Remember to check the bus schedule in advance to ensure timely arrival.
