Getting There

  • Public Bus

    Start at the Tucson Downtown area. Head to the Ronstadt Transit Center and board the Sun Tran bus #107 or #8 that heads towards the East side of Tucson. Ride the bus for about 40 minutes until you reach the 'Eastside Transfer Center'. From there, transfer to bus #18, which goes directly to the Saguaro National Park East area. Get off at the stop closest to 'Cactus Forest Dr'. After disembarking, walk approximately 1 mile south along Cactus Forest Dr until you reach Javelina Rocks.

  • Bicycle

    If you are in a central location in Tucson, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop. Head east along Broadway Blvd, which will lead you towards E. 22nd St. Continue on E. 22nd St until you reach S. Kolb Rd. Turn left onto S. Kolb Rd and follow it until you reach E. 31st St, then take a right. Continue until you reach Cactus Forest Dr. From there, follow Cactus Forest Dr south for about a mile to reach Javelina Rocks.

    If you are close to Saguaro National Park East, start your journey at the park entrance on E. Broadway Blvd. Walk east along Broadway until you reach S. Kolb Rd. Turn left and continue north to E. 22nd St, then follow it until you reach Cactus Forest Dr. Turn right onto Cactus Forest Dr and continue for about a mile until you arrive at Javelina Rocks.
