This 6.5-acre space, once the home of Dr. Neil Compton, celebrates the natural beauty of the Ozarks and Dr. Compton's dedication to conservation. Dr. Compton, a local physician and avid conservationist, is best known for his instrumental role in establishing the Buffalo River as the first National River in the United States. The gardens feature a diverse collection of native trees, shrubs, grasses, and perennials, thoughtfully arranged in themed garden spaces. Visitors can explore the Bird Sanctuary, Butterfly Sanctuary, Woodland Trail, Meadow, Cindy Springs, and a Living Wall.
