Discover more about Allsopp Park

Allsopp Park, located in the Pulaski Heights community of Little Rock, is a 75-acre haven of natural beauty and recreational opportunities. Purchased by the city in 1927, the park was named after Frederick Allsopp, a prominent resident and naturalist who envisioned a space that blended wildlife sanctuary with recreational facilities. The park boasts a diverse landscape, featuring wooded ravines and a variety of trails suitable for hiking, mountain biking, and jogging. The trails are split into a north and south section, requiring a brief neighborhood traverse to reach the other side. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, including squirrels, rabbits, and songbirds. Allsopp Park also offers a range of amenities, including a playground, tennis courts, a softball field, and a pavilion. These facilities make it a popular destination for families, birthday parties, and community events. The park's pavilion, situated atop a hill, provides a scenic backdrop for gatherings. While an early master plan for the park wasn't fully implemented, Allsopp Park retains the spirit of its original design, offering a blend of natural beauty and recreational opportunities for all who visit.
