Car
If you're traveling by car from central Upper Delta, start by heading east on AR-117. Continue for about 8 miles until you reach the junction with AR-25. Turn left onto AR-25 and drive for approximately 10 miles. Lake Charles State Park will be on your left at 3705 AR-25, Powhatan, AR 72458. Look for the park entrance sign. There is no entry fee for the park.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you will need to take a bus from the nearest transit hub in Upper Delta to the town of Powhatan. One option is to catch a bus heading toward Pocahontas, which may stop in Powhatan. After arriving in Powhatan, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Lake Charles State Park, as the park is not within walking distance from the bus stop.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can take the same route as the car guidance. Starting from central Upper Delta, head east on AR-117. Once you hit AR-25, turn left and continue on this road until you reach Lake Charles State Park. Ensure to wear a helmet and be cautious of traffic, as AR-25 can be busy at times.
