From Alaverdi, walk to the nearest bus stop. Look for a bus heading towards Yerevan. You can ask locals for directions to the correct stop if needed. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride which will take about 1 hour. Get off at the Geghard Monastery stop. After disembarking, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the monastery entrance, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
