From the center of Kotayk, head towards the M1 highway. Follow the M1 towards Garni, which is approximately 20 km away. Once you reach Garni Village, look for signs directing you to Garni Canyon. The canyon is located off an unnamed road near the Garni Temple, just beyond the village. You can park your car at the designated parking area near the Temple. Be cautious on the road as it can be narrow and winding.

To reach Garni Canyon using public transport, first, make your way to the Kotayk Bus Station located in the center of town. Look for marshrutkas (minibuses) heading to Garni. The fare is typically around 300 AMD (Armenian Dram). The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Garni Village, you can either walk towards the Garni Temple and follow the signs to the canyon or ask locals for directions. The canyon is a 15-20 minute walk from the bus drop-off point.
