Getting There

Walking
Start at the center of Alaverdi, near the Alaverdi Town Hall. Head southeast on Tigran Mets Street towards the intersection with 1st May Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Sharambeyan Street. Turn left onto Sharambeyan Street and walk until you reach the bridge over the Debed River. Cross the bridge, and once you are on the other side, continue walking straight. After about 1 kilometer, you will approach a fork in the road. Keep to the left, following the signs towards Koshaberd Fortress. You will notice a path leading uphill. Ascend this path, and after approximately 30 minutes of hiking, you will arrive at Koshaberd Fortress.

From the center of Alaverdi, make your way to the nearest bus stop. Look for a minibus heading towards the village of Akner or the nearby area. Once you board the minibus, inform the driver you are going to Koshaberd Fortress. The minibus will drop you off at a point near the base of the fortress trail. From there, you can follow the marked hiking path that leads up to the fortress. It should take about 30 minutes to hike to the entrance of the fortress.
