Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Aparan Reservoir and head towards the town of Aparan. From there, take the M1 highway towards Yerevan. After approximately 45 kilometers, take the exit towards Erebuni/Yerevan. Continue straight until you reach the city center of Yerevan. From Yerevan, follow the signs to Vardavar Lake, which is located in the Erebuni district. The lake is approximately 10 kilometers from the city center. Parking is available near the lake, but be prepared for possible fees during peak season.

For public transportation, you can take a bus or minibus from Aparan to Yerevan. Buses frequently depart from the central bus station in Aparan. The journey will take about an hour. Once in Yerevan, head to the bus station located near the Republic Square and take a minibus (marshrutka) heading towards Erebuni. Ask the driver to drop you off near Vardavar Lake. The fare for the bus from Aparan to Yerevan is around 500 AMD, and the minibus fare is approximately 300 AMD. Be sure to check the latest schedules, as they can vary.

Alternatively, you can take a taxi directly from Aparan Reservoir to Vardavar Lake. This option is more expensive but offers convenience and speed. The taxi fare will depend on your negotiation skills, but expect to pay around 6,000 to 8,000 AMD for a one-way trip. Make sure to agree on the price before starting your journey. The taxi will take you directly to the lake, which is about a 40-minute drive.
