Getting There

    If you are traveling by car within Arevik National Park, you will need to follow the M2 highway. From Yerevan, drive southeast towards the town of Goris, which is approximately 250 km away. Once you reach Goris, continue on the M2 towards the village of Kapan. As you drive, keep an eye on the road signs and scenic views. After approximately 30 km from Goris, you will arrive at the entrance of Arevik National Park. From the park entrance, follow the park roads to navigate towards Tashtun Pass, which is around 10 km from the park's entrance. The last stretch may require navigating some unpaved paths, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.

    For those opting for public transportation, you can take a bus or minibus from Yerevan to Goris. Buses leave regularly from the Yerevan central bus station and the journey takes about 4-5 hours, costing roughly 3,000-5,000 AMD ($8-$12). Upon arrival in Goris, you can catch a local minibus to Kapan, which will cost around 1,000 AMD ($2.50) and takes about 30 minutes. From Kapan, you can either hire a taxi to take you to the Arevik National Park entrance (which should cost approximately 3,000-4,000 AMD or $8-$10) or look for shared taxis heading towards the park. Once inside the park, you will need to hike or arrange for a local guide to reach Tashtun Pass, which is approximately 10 km from the park's entrance.
