Tsav Waterfall, also called Mazra Waterfall or Chrchr Waterfall by locals, is a natural wonder tucked away in Armenia's Syunik province. Located approximately 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) west of Tsav village, this hidden gem lies close to the Shikahogh State Reserve. The waterfall is formed by the Mazra tributary of the Tsav River.
Falling from a height of 10 meters (32 feet), Tsav Waterfall may not be the tallest in Armenia, but its charm lies in its secluded location and the refreshing pool at its base. The waterfall's strong stream flows from between the rocks, creating a picturesque scene surrounded by high rocks and lush greenery. The sound of the water can be heard from afar, adding to the sense of discovery as you approach.
The journey to Tsav Waterfall is an adventure in itself, requiring a walk alongside the river from Tsav village. The path is not always obvious, adding to the excitement of finding this natural sanctuary. The surrounding forests and clean air provide a refreshing escape.

Getting There
Walking
From the village of Tsav, the most direct way to reach Tsav Waterfall is by foot. Follow the Kapan-Shikahogh-Meghri Motorway west from the village. After a short distance, a path leading towards the Tsav River will become visible. The waterfall is located roughly 2km west of the village, and the path follows the river. There are no entrance fees or tolls to access the waterfall.
Taxi
From Kapan, a taxi to Tsav village is the first step. Taxis are readily available in Kapan, and the ride to Tsav is approximately 30-45 minutes. From Tsav, follow the walking directions to the waterfall. Expect to pay around 2,000-3,000 AMD for the taxi from Kapan to Tsav. Once in Tsav, there are no additional costs to reach the waterfall.
