Car
If you're driving, start from the center of Gegharkunik and head towards the H11 highway. Follow the H11 highway for approximately 20 km. You will see signs directing you to Khor Virap Monastery. As you approach the village of Pokr Vedi, look for the entrance to the monastery on your right. Parking is available near the entrance. Note that you may need to pay a small fee for parking.
Public Transportation
To reach Khor Virap Monastery by public transport, you can take a marshrutka (minibus) from the central bus station in Gegharkunik. Look for marshrutkas heading towards Ararat or Artashat. Inform the driver you are going to Khor Virap Monastery, and they will drop you off at the nearest stop. You may have to walk approximately 1 km to reach the entrance of the monastery from the drop-off point. Be sure to have some small change ready, as the fare is usually around 300-500 AMD.
Taxi
For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from any location in Gegharkunik. Taxis are readily available and can take you directly to Khor Virap Monastery. The journey should take about 30 minutes and cost around 3000-5000 AMD, depending on your starting point and the negotiation with the driver. Ensure you agree on the fare before starting the ride.
