Getting there

Walking

From the Gyumri city center, the fortress is accessible by walking. Head north, and the walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Use the main roads leading out of the city center, keeping an eye out for the fortress on the outskirts. No costs are associated with walking.

Public Transport

Take a marshrutka (minibus) from the city center towards the north of Gyumri. Inform the driver you wish to go to 'Պայտաձև ամրոց'. The journey should take around 15-20 minutes. From the drop-off point, you may need to ask locals for the final directions to the fortress. The cost is approximately 100 AMD.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available in Gyumri and are a convenient way to reach the fortress. A taxi ride from the city center will take about 10-15 minutes. Expect to pay around 500 AMD for a one-way trip within the city.
