Walking
From Haghartsin Monastery, head southeast on the main path leading away from the monastery complex. Keep following the path for about 15-20 minutes. You will notice a natural trail that veers off to your left, leading toward the forest area. Continue following this trail, which gradually inclines. After approximately 10 minutes, you will see a large rock formation resembling an elephant. This is Elephant Rock. It is advisable to wear sturdy footwear as the terrain can be uneven.

If you have access to a car, start from Haghartsin Monastery and drive southeast on the main road. After about 2 km, you will find a small parking area to your right. Park your vehicle there. From the parking area, walk towards the forested area where you will find the trail leading to Elephant Rock. It’s a short 10-15 minute walk from the parking area to the rock.
