Dilijan Waterfall: A Hidden Gem

Getting There

• Walking

  From Haghartsin Monastery, exit the monastery grounds and head southeast along the main road. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road; take the left path, which leads into the forest. Continue walking for approximately 1 kilometer until you hear the sound of water. The waterfall is located a short distance off the path, about 100 meters to your right. Be cautious as the last part of the trail can be steep and slippery.

• Public Transport

  To reach the waterfall via public transportation, take a bus or minivan (marshrutka) from Dilijan city center to Haghartsin Monastery. The fare is typically around 300 AMD per person. Once you arrive at Haghartsin Monastery, follow the walking directions to reach the waterfall. Make sure to check the bus schedules for return trips as they may not be frequent.

• Car

  If traveling by car, exit the Haghartsin Monastery parking area and turn right onto the main road. Drive for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left path at the fork and continue driving for another 1 kilometer. Park your car at the designated parking area near the entrance to the trail that leads to the waterfall. The waterfall is about a 10-minute walk from the parking area; follow the trail to the right once you hear the sound of water. Parking is free.
