Walking

From the center of Jermuk, the ropeway is accessible by foot. The walk is roughly 1 km and will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Head east on Shahumyan street, then turn right onto Yeranyan street. Continue straight until you reach the Erevanyan xchuxi, where you will find the Jermuk Ropeway on your left.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available in Jermuk. A short ride from the town center to the Jermuk Ropeway will cost approximately 500 AMD. Be sure the driver is aware of your destination before starting the ride.

The Jermuk Ropeway is a must-visit attraction in the spa town of Jermuk, Armenia, offering stunning panoramic views and access to mountaintop recreation. Opened in 2007, the 900-meter long cableway whisks visitors to a height of 2,480 meters (approx. 8,136 feet) above sea level on Mount Lusassar.The ride itself is an experience, with views overlooking the town of Jermuk, the Arpa River gorge, and the surrounding alpine forests. At the summit, an observation deck provides unobstructed views of the landscape. A cafe at the top allows visitors to relax and enjoy refreshments while taking in the scenery.In winter, the Jermuk Ropeway provides access to ski slopes catering to both beginners and experienced skiers. Ski and snowboard rentals are available, and instructors offer lessons for those new to winter sports. In the warmer months, the ropeway is popular for sightseeing, hiking, and enjoying the mountain air. The area is known for its clean air and tranquil environment, providing a relaxing escape.
