Discover more about Manukyan Brandy Factory

The Manukyan Brandy Factory, established in 2015, stands as a testament to Armenia's enduring tradition of brandy and wine production. Located in the heart of the Kotayk region, near the Yerevan-Sevan highway, the factory's striking white buildings are easily recognizable. Founder Melik Manukyan, who also established a glass container factory in 1989, envisioned the brandy factory as a continuation of his legacy. The factory prides itself on blending modern European equipment with time-honored Armenian techniques. Visitors can witness the entire winemaking process, from fermentation in steel tanks, soil-dug amphoras, and oak tanks to the distillation of brandy using a distinctive spirit distillation machine. The aging process occurs in Armenian, French, and American oak barrels, which impart unique flavors to the brandy. The vineyards cultivate a variety of grapes, including native Armenian and European selections such as Areni Noir, Voskeat, Kangun, Cot Malbec, Haghtanak, Aligote, and Cabernet Franc. These vineyards are primarily situated in the Vayots Dzor district and the Ararat Valley. A tour of the Manukyan Brandy Factory includes visits to the production facilities, aging cellars, the Anamor Fortress, and the vineyards. Guests can also opt to visit the Saranist glass container factory to learn about glass production. The experience culminates with a tasting of the factory's Bibliotheca wines. The factory also hosts events for birthdays, anniversaries and corporate events.
