Getting there

Car

If you're driving from Yerevan, take the M-4 highway towards Ashtarak. After about 25 kilometers, look for the signs directing you to Amberd. Turn onto the Amberd Road and continue for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the fortress. There is a parking area near the entrance where you can leave your car. Please note that there may be a small parking fee.

Public Transportation

To reach Amberd fortress via public transport, take a bus from the Yerevan Central Bus Station to Ashtarak. The bus ride takes about 30-40 minutes.
