If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Kotayk and head southeast on the M1 highway. Continue for about 13 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for the road leading to Mount Hatis. Turn left onto the dirt road and follow it for approximately 5 kilometers. Be aware that the last section of the road may be rough, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended. Park your car at the designated area and prepare for a short hike to the peak.

Public Transportation
To reach Mount Hatis via public transport, take a minibus (marshrutka) from the Kotayk bus station heading towards Garni or Geghard. Get off at the stop near the village of Hatis, which is about 12 kilometers from Kotayk. From the stop, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to the base of Mount Hatis. The path is well-marked, but be prepared for a bit of elevation gain. There may be a small fee for the minibus ride, typically around 300 AMD.
