From Noravank Monastery, head south on the main road (M2) towards the town of Areni. Continue for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the H-32 road. Turn left onto H-32 towards Ohanavan. Follow this road for about 20 kilometers. You'll pass through scenic landscapes. Keep an eye out for signs pointing to Hovhannavank, which is situated near the village of Ohanavan. Once you arrive at the coordinates 89QQ+QCH, you will find the monastery's entrance. Parking is available nearby.
Public Transportation
From Noravank Monastery, you will need to return to the main road (M2) and find a bus or minivan heading towards the town of Areni. The fare is generally around 300 AMD. Once you arrive in Areni, locate a bus or minivan heading towards Ohanavan. You may need to ask locals for directions as services can vary. The fare for this leg will be approximately 500 AMD. Inform the driver to drop you off near Hovhannavank, and from there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the monastery.
