Discover more about Lovers' Park

Lovers' Park, situated on Marshal Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan, is more than just a city park; it's a sanctuary dedicated to love and tranquility. Dating back to the 18th century, the park has undergone several transformations, initially known as Kozern Garden. In 1949, it was renamed Pushkin Park to honor the renowned Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, and later, in 1970, it became Barekamutyun (Comradeship) Park. Following Armenia's independence in 1995, it was finally named Lovers' Park, inspired by the adjacent Demirtchyan Street, once known as Lovers' Street. The park's modern design, inspired by Japanese traditional landscaping, is the work of Swiss landscape architect Pierre Rambach, who aimed to create a haven of nature within the bustling city. Renovated between 2005 and 2008 by the Boghossian Foundation, the park now features winding paths, a small artificial lake with islands, and a 215-seat amphitheater named after Robert Boghossian, hosting various cultural events. Visitors can explore notable artworks, including the statue of Gevorg Emin, a famous Armenian poet, and contemporary sculptures like Jean-Michel Othoniel's Obsidian Heart and Nadim Karam's Trio Elephants. The park also offers a charming café, Achajur, where guests can enjoy refreshments while admiring the scenery. With its accessible design, absence of stairs, and convenient location near the Marshal Baghramyan metro station, Lovers' Park is a welcoming space for everyone seeking relaxation and cultural enrichment.
