Car
If you are driving from Goris, start your journey on the M2 highway heading towards Kapan. After approximately 20 km, take the turnoff towards Tsitsernavank. Follow the signs that indicate Tsitsernavank, which will lead you to a smaller road. Continue on this road for about 10 km, where you will reach the vicinity of Ağoğlan monastırı. Be mindful of the road conditions as it can be uneven in certain areas. Parking is available near the monastery.
Public Transportation
To reach Ağoğlan monastırı via public transportation, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Goris to Kapan. This trip typically costs around 500 AMD and takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Kapan, you will need to find another marshrutka or taxi that can take you to Tsitsernavank. This leg of the journey may cost an additional 1000-1500 AMD and take about 20-30 minutes. Ensure to ask the driver to drop you off at Tsitsernavank, and from there, follow the path leading to the monastery.
Hiking
For those who prefer a more adventurous route, consider hiking from Tsitsernavank village to Ağoğlan monastırı. The trail is approximately 5 km and can take about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. Ensure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry enough water, as the trail can be steep and challenging at times. Start early in the morning to enjoy the scenic views along the way.
