From Goris, take the M2 highway heading north towards the town of Kapan. Continue for about 25 km until you reach the intersection with the M3 highway. Merge onto M3 towards the town of Asgaran. Follow the signs for Asgaran, which is approximately 15 km ahead. Once you arrive in Asgaran, look for signs directing you to Askeran Fortress. The fortress is located just outside the town, approximately 5 km from the center of Asgaran. It's advisable to use a GPS navigation system for precise directions.

From Goris, take a minibus (marshrutka) heading to Kapan. These minibuses depart frequently from the central bus station. Once you arrive in Kapan, transfer to another marshrutka heading to Asgaran. The journey from Goris to Kapan takes about 30 minutes, and the Kapan to Asgaran leg takes approximately 20 minutes. Upon reaching Asgaran, you can either walk or take a taxi to Askeran Fortress, which is about a 5 km distance from the town center. Be sure to check the local schedules, as they may vary.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Goris or Kapan. Taxis are available in both towns, and you can negotiate the fare beforehand. Expect to pay around 5,000 AMD for a one-way trip from Goris to Askeran Fortress. The trip should take about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. If you are in Kapan, the taxi fare should be slightly lower, around 3,000-4,000 AMD.
