For those using public transportation, you can take a minibus (marshrutka) from Tatev Monastery to Yeghegnadzor, which leaves approximately every hour. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Once in Yeghegnadzor, you will need to hire a taxi to take you to Tanahat Monastery, which is about 15 kilometers away. Taxi fares can vary, but expect to pay around 3,000 to 5,000 AMD (approximately $8 to $13 USD) for the trip.
