Getting There

Car
If you are driving from the town of Dilijan, take the M4 highway heading east towards Ijevan. Continue on the M4 for about 18 km until you reach the turn-off for the road leading to Arakelots Monastery. Turn onto the unpaved road that leads you uphill for approximately 3 km. The last stretch may be bumpy, so proceed with caution. Follow the signs for Arakelots Monastery, and you will find a parking area near the monastery.

From the town center of Dilijan, you can catch a minibus (marshrutka) heading to Ijevan. Inform the driver you want to get off at the turn-off for Arakelots Monastery. The fare is approximately 300 AMD. Once you get off, you will need to walk about 3 km uphill on an unpaved road to reach the monastery.
