Car
From Dilijan, take the M4 highway east towards Ijevan. After approximately 18 km, look for the turn-off to Arakelots Monastery. Turn onto the unpaved road and drive uphill for about 3 km to reach the monastery. Be cautious as the road can be bumpy. Parking is available near the monastery. There are no tolls.
Public Transport
From Dilijan's town center, take a minibus (marshrutka) towards Ijevan. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the Arakelots Monastery turn-off. The fare is approximately 300 AMD. From the turn-off, walk uphill for about 3 km on the unpaved road to reach the monastery. Alternatively, hire a taxi from Dilijan for around 2000-3000 AMD for a one-way trip.
Hiking
For a more adventurous route, hike from Dilijan to Arakelots Monastery. Start in the city center and follow the trail through the forested area. The trek is approximately 7 km and takes 2-3 hours. Wear appropriate hiking gear and carry water. The trail connects to the unpaved road leading to the monastery.
