    Walking

    From Goshavank Monastery, follow the well-marked hiking trail southwest for approximately 2.2 km. The hike is moderately challenging and takes you through the forest. No entrance fees are required.

    Taxi

    From Dilijan city center, take a taxi to Gosh village and then to Lake Gosh. The taxi ride to Gosh village is approximately 30 minutes. From Gosh village, you can either hike or hire a local 4x4 to reach the lake. A taxi from Dilijan to Gosh may cost around 2,000-3,000 AMD. Hiring a 4x4 from Gosh village to the lake may cost an additional 2,000-3,000 AMD.

    Lake Gosh, a small and picturesque lake, is located 2.2 km southwest of Gosh village in the Tavush Province of Armenia. Surrounded by dense forests within Dilijan National Park, this natural lake was formed by landslides and is fed by water springs and precipitation. The lake stretches 100 meters in length and 80 meters in width, with a maximum depth of 8 meters.Named after Mkhitar Gosh, a prominent 12th-century Armenian scholar, public figure, and the founder of Goshavank Monastery, the lake offers a tranquil escape. The surrounding area boasts diverse flora and fauna, rock formations, and mineral springs. The water temperature remains a cool 14°C even in summer.Visitors can enjoy hiking trails around the lake, including a popular 12 km route to Parz Lake. The nearby Goshavank Monastery, founded by Mkhitar Gosh, is a must-see historical and architectural landmark.
