Getting There

If you're driving, start from the center of Ijevan, the capital of Tavush. Head southwest on A1 road towards Haghartsin Monastery. After approximately 6 kilometers, take the exit for the Makaravank Monastery Complex. Follow the signs for Makaravank, and after about 3 kilometers, you'll arrive at the parking area near the monastery. Be aware that the last stretch of road may be unpaved and bumpy, so drive carefully.
