  • Car

    If you're driving from the town of Dilijan, head southeast on the M4 highway towards Ijevan. After approximately 15 km, take the exit towards H45. Follow H45 for about 30 km, enjoying the scenic views. Tatev Monastery will be on the left side of the road, approximately 1 km after you enter the village of Tatev. There is parking available near the monastery.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Tatev Monastery via public transport, first take a minibus (marshrutka) from Dilijan to Gavar. The fare is approximately 500 AMD and the journey takes about 1 hour. From Gavar, transfer to a minibus heading to Tatev, which departs regularly. The fare is around 400 AMD and takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Tatev village, it's a short 1 km walk to the monastery. Follow the signs towards H45.

  • Taxi

    You can hire a taxi from any major town in Tavush, such as Dilijan or Ijevan. The cost from Dilijan to Tatev Monastery is approximately 6,000-8,000 AMD, depending on the driver and negotiation. The ride takes about 40 minutes. Ensure you agree on the fare before starting your journey.
