Walking
From the center of Vayk, head towards the main road (Tatev St). Walk northeast for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with the Vayk-Yerevan highway (M2). At the intersection, turn left and continue walking along the highway for approximately 4 km. You will pass by several local shops and cafes along the way. Keep an eye out for road signs pointing towards Upper Lake. After 4 km, look for a sign leading to Upper Lake, which will direct you onto a smaller road to the right. Follow this road for about 1.5 km, and you will arrive at Upper Lake. The walk should take around 1 hour and 15 minutes total.
Public Transportation
From the center of Vayk, find the local bus station where buses to Yerevan frequently depart. Take a bus that is heading towards Yerevan, but inform the driver that you want to get off near Upper Lake. The bus ride should take approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you reach the designated stop, disembark and follow the signs towards Upper Lake, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Make sure to ask locals if you need assistance finding the correct path.
