If you're driving from Yerevan, take the M1 highway towards the Vayots Dzor region. The distance is approximately 60 kilometers and will take around an hour. As you approach the town of Garni, look for signs directing you to Geghard Monastery. Turn onto the road leading towards Garni, and after about 10 kilometers, you will see the signs for Geghard. Follow the road until you reach the monastery area, where you can park your car.

To reach Geghard Monastery via public transportation, start from Yerevan's central bus station (Kilikia). Look for marshrutkas (minibuses) heading towards Garni, which depart frequently. The fare is about 300 AMD (approximately $0.80). Once you arrive in Garni, you can either walk (about 10 km) or take a taxi to Geghard Monastery. The taxi ride should cost around 1500-2000 AMD ($4-5). Make sure to agree on the fare beforehand.
