If you are traveling by car, start by heading to the town of Yeghegnadzor, which is the administrative center of the Vayots Dzor Region. From Yeghegnadzor, take the M2 highway east towards the village of Areni. After approximately 12 kilometers, you will come to a fork in the road. Keep left and follow the signs towards the village of Khachik. Continue driving for about 8 kilometers until you reach a small parking area near the entrance to Hell Canyon. From there, you may need to hike a short distance to the canyon itself. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition for mountainous roads.

To reach Hell Canyon via public transportation, take a bus or marshrutka (minibus) from Yerevan to Yeghegnadzor. The journey takes about 2-3 hours. Once in Yeghegnadzor, look for a marshrutka heading towards Areni. Ask the driver to drop you off at the turn-off for Khachik village. From the drop-off point, it is approximately a 2-kilometer walk to the parking area near Hell Canyon. It’s advisable to confirm the marshrutka schedule in advance, as they may not run frequently.
