Getting There

• Public Transport

  To reach Vishapakar near Yelpin via public transport, take a bus or minibus from Yerevan to Yeghegnadzor. Buses depart regularly from Kilikia Bus Station in Yerevan, with a journey time of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours and a fare of 1,500 to 2,000 AMD. Upon arrival in Yeghegnadzor, take a taxi to Yelpin village; taxis are available near the bus station, costing around 2,000 to 3,000 AMD. Alternatively, Minibus 558, heading towards Yerevan, stops in Yelpin. From Yeghegnadzor, you can also take a minibus to Vayk, which departs regularly from the central bus station in Yeghegnadzor. The ride takes around 30 minutes. Once in Vayk, you will need to take a taxi or find another marshrutka heading towards Yelpin. It is advisable to negotiate the fare with the taxi driver beforehand, which may cost approximately 2000-3000 AMD.

  If traveling by car from Yerevan, take the M-2 highway towards Artashat, then merge onto the A-1 road towards Vayots Dzor. After passing through Yeghegnadzor, continue until you reach the R425 road, which leads directly to Yelpin village. Look for coordinates R425+Q32 upon arrival in Yelpin to find Vishapakar. Parking is available nearby. Alternatively, start your journey from the town of Yeghegnadzor. Head southeast on the M2 highway towards Vayk. Drive for about 15 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Yelpin. Turn right onto R425 and continue for approximately 8 kilometers.
