Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the center of Vayots Dzor. Head southeast on the M2 highway toward Yerevan. After about 18 kilometers, take the exit toward Khosrov Forest State Reserve. Follow the signs to the reserve, which is approximately 15 kilometers from the exit. The last part of the drive is along a narrow road, so drive carefully. Note that there may be an entrance fee to access the reserve, which is typically around 1,000 AMD.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Khosrov Forest State Reserve using public transportation, first, you need to take a marshrutka (minibus) from Vayots Dzor to Yerevan. You can catch a marshrutka from the main bus station. The fare is around 1,500 AMD. Upon arrival in Yerevan, you will need to take another marshrutka heading back towards the reserve. Look for marshrutkas that say 'Khosrov' or ask locals for help. The fare for this second leg should be around 1,000 AMD. Make sure to confirm that the driver will drop you off at the entrance of Khosrov Forest State Reserve.

• Taxi

  Another option is to hire a taxi for a more direct route. You can find taxis in Vayots Dzor or use a ride-hailing app. The drive from Vayots Dzor to Khosrov Forest State Reserve will take approximately 30-40 minutes. The taxi fare may vary but expect to pay around 5,000-10,000 AMD depending on your negotiation and the time of day.
