Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Vayots Dzor province. Head towards Jermuk city. From the center of Jermuk, take the road leading to Lake Jermuk (Jermuk Tsnund) and follow the signs for Jermuk Waterfall. The waterfall is located approximately 5 km from the center of Jermuk. You will pass by lush greenery and scenic views along the way. There is a small parking area near the waterfall where you can leave your car.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a minibus (marshrutka) from Yerevan to Jermuk. The marshrutka departs from the Yerevan Central Bus Station and takes approximately 3-4 hours to reach Jermuk. Once you arrive in Jermuk, you can either walk to the waterfall, which is about 5 km away, or hire a local taxi to take you directly to Jermuk Waterfall. Taxis are readily available, and the fare should be around 1,500-2,500 AMD (Armenian Dram) depending on negotiation.
Taxi
For those who want a more comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Vayots Dzor to Jermuk Waterfall. Ensure to agree on the fare before starting your journey. The cost from Jermuk city center to the waterfall should be around 1,500-2,500 AMD. This option will save you time and provide a direct route to the waterfall without the need for additional walking.
Hiking
For the adventurous, there is a hiking trail that leads to Jermuk Waterfall. From the center of Jermuk, you can follow the trail eastward towards the waterfall. The hike is approximately 5 km and takes about 1-1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water, as the trail can be steep and rocky in places.
