The Moscow Cinema, built in 1936 on the site of a demolished church, showcases a blend of Armenian functionalism and classicism. The Grand Hotel Yerevan, originally opened in 1926 as a state hotel, adds a touch of neoclassical elegance to the square.At the heart of the square lies a decorative pool adorned with a mosaic, featuring the twelve signs of the zodiac.
