Discover more about Boca Prins

Boca Prins offers a dramatic contrast to Aruba's typical calm, turquoise beaches. Located on the northeast coast within Arikok National Park, this secluded bay presents a rugged and untamed landscape. Here, towering white sand dunes meet jagged limestone cliffs, all while the crashing waves of the Caribbean Sea create a mesmerizing spectacle. The beach itself is relatively small, stretching only about 55 meters. The powerful waves and strong undertows make swimming dangerous and are not recommended. However, the stunning scenery more than compensates, offering incredible photo opportunities and a chance to connect with nature's raw beauty. Boca Prins is named after the former Prins Plantation. While the original plantation house no longer stands, the area's history adds another layer of intrigue to this unique location. The constant trade winds from the northeast shape the dunes and create a sense of wildness. For those seeking adventure, a hiking trail leads from Boca Prins to Dos Playa, another beautiful beach within the park. This moderately challenging trail offers stunning coastal views and a chance to explore the park's diverse landscapes. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, such as iguanas and various bird species. Boca Prins is a must-see for those who appreciate the power and beauty of nature. While swimming may be off-limits, the dramatic scenery, hiking opportunities, and sense of seclusion make it a truly unforgettable experience.
