Discover more about Malmok Beach

Malmok Beach, situated on the northwestern coast of Aruba, is a haven for those seeking tranquility and underwater adventure. Unlike the bustling beaches of Palm Beach and Eagle Beach, Malmok offers a more serene and laid-back atmosphere. The beach is characterized by its limestone shoreline, rocky coves, and clear, shallow waters, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling and diving. Malmok Beach is famous for its excellent snorkeling opportunities. The calm, crystal-clear waters teem with diverse marine life, including colorful fish, sea turtles, and coral formations. Snorkelers can explore the rocky coves and submerged reefs just off the coast, easily accessible from the shore. Two shipwrecks, the E.S. Antilla and the Baboo, lie near the beach, attracting a variety of tropical fish and marine creatures. The E.S. Antilla, a German freighter scuttled during World War II, is a popular dive site. While Malmok Beach may not be ideal for sunbathing due to its rocky terrain, it offers a unique charm with its picturesque scenery and tranquil ambiance. Nature enthusiasts can explore the paths winding through the landscape, dotted with cacti and divi-divi trees. The small cliffs along the coast provide idyllic spots for watching sunsets and enjoying the panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. Malmok is also a residential area with sprawling homes. The main road through Malmok leads to the California Lighthouse, Tierra del Sol golf course, and Arashi Beach. The Malmok Boardwalk, opened in 2021, stretches from Fisherman's Hut to Boca Catalina, offering paved and wooden paths with benches and palapas to enjoy the sea breeze.
