Getting there

Car

From the California Lighthouse, head south on L.G. Smith Boulevard. Turn left onto the unnamed road (H256+GPV) leading to Wariruri Beach. Follow the road to the parking area. Parking is free but can be limited. Be aware that the road is unpaved and can be rough.

Public Transport

From the main bus terminal in Noord, take a bus towards Alto Vista Chapel. Get off at the stop closest to Alto Vista Chapel. From there, walk along the gravel road towards Wariruri Beach. The walk is approximately 1 kilometer. A single bus fare is around $2.00.

Taxi

From Palm Beach, a taxi to Wariruri Beach will cost approximately $20-$30, depending on the time of day and your negotiation skills. The journey takes around 15-20 minutes. Taxis are readily available at most hotels and resorts.

Wariruri Beach, situated in Wariruri Bay in Noord, Aruba, is a captivating sand cove distinguished by its rugged, limestone coastline sculpted by the sea. Unlike the typical Aruban beach experience, Wariruri is known for its dramatic scenery, strong waves, and relative seclusion.While not ideal for swimming or snorkeling due to strong currents and trade winds, Wariruri Beach is a popular destination for surfers, both local and tourist, who come to ride the waves. Watching the surfers is a spectacular sight, and the beach offers excellent photo opportunities. Fishing is also a common activity, and it's always interesting to see what the fishermen bring in.The beach itself is relatively small, measuring approximately 60 meters in both width and length. It's best to come prepared, as there are no amenities available. Access is easiest with a four-wheel-drive vehicle, allowing you to explore the rougher side of Aruba. The beach is open 24 hours.Despite its ruggedness, Wariruri Beach offers a tranquil escape from the more bustling tourist areas of Aruba. The combination of the wild ocean, unique rock formations, and the chance to witness surfing make it a worthwhile visit.
