The studio occupies a beautiful historic house that serves as both workspace and cultural hub, where visitors witness the transformation of molten glass into intricate works of art.

Free Demonstrations and Hands-On Workshops

The studio offers free glassblowing demonstrations daily from 10 AM to 1 PM, allowing visitors to observe the entire creative process without obligation. For those seeking deeper engagement, hands-on workshops enable participants to create their own glass sculpture under expert guidance. No prior experience is required; Giuliano and his team provide thorough instruction, patiently guiding each participant through the process while ensuring safety. Visitors can customize their creations by selecting colors and designs before the blowing begins. A $50 non-refundable deposit per person reserves workshop time, which is deducted from the final cost. Completed pieces require 24 hours to cool through a process called annealing before they can be taken home or picked up the following day.

Glassblowing at this studio employs traditional methods where sand, soda, ash, and limestone are mixed and heated in a crucible to approximately 2000 degrees Fahrenheit—the temperature of molten lava. Artists employ various techniques including blowing, kiln-casting, fusing, flame-working, hot-sculpting, and cold-working, each requiring specialized knowledge and skill. The studio's collection of finished pieces available for purchase showcases the range of possibilities, from delicate sea turtles and fish to elaborate cactus sculptures, all crafted using these time-honored methods.

The studio is located at Ayo 22 in Aruba and operates from 9 AM to 4 PM most days, with Monday hours from 10 AM to 3 PM. Close-toed shoes and cotton clothing are recommended for workshop participants, as the work involves extreme heat. Hair ties are advised for those with longer hair. The studio can arrange delivery of finished pieces to hotels, and artwork can be carefully wrapped for travel.
