Public Bus
From central Oranjestad, head to the main bus terminal located near the Plaza Daniel Leo. Look for the buses labeled 'Noord' or 'Palm Beach'. Board one of these buses, which run frequently. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Butterfly Farm stop, or look for the stop near J.E. Irausquin Blvd. The Butterfly Farm is a short walk from the bus stop; just follow the signs.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Oranjestad. Simply flag down a taxi or ask your hotel to call one for you. Tell the driver to take you to 'Butterfly Farm on J.E. Irausquin Blvd, Noord'. The drive will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare beforehand or ask for the meter to be used.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking and are staying in the northern part of Oranjestad, you can walk to the Butterfly Farm. Start from the Renaissance Mall and head north along J.E. Irausquin Blvd. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 to 2 miles (approximately 30-40 minutes). You will pass by several hotels and shops along the way. The Butterfly Farm will be on your right-hand side, just look for the entrance with colorful butterfly decorations.
Use Butterfly Farm as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
